Step Three - SELECT your websites/pages.
- Who wrote it? Look at the "about" section often under a tab or at the bottom of the page
- Find the author/organisation and google them.
- When was it updated? If there's no date? Is there a recent article?
- Do the links work
- Does it look professional? Check for bad spelling!
- Are there too many "odd" adverts. e.g. Pop up boxes saying you have won a prize!
- Once on your chosen webpage find your keywords using ctrl + F together.
Step Four ORGANISE - your information.
- Keep records of the websites you use - bookmark them / open a google document and copy and paste the website address or page with bullet point on the information / use a pen and paper to write information down.
- If you find a paragraph you want don't copy and paste that's plagiarism!
- Instead you can:
- Read the paragraph and jot down the main points OR
- Cross out the unnecessary words and write down those you have left
- Include the words left into a new paragraph you write yourself. More info...
- Credit the person who wrote the information and reference the website
